December 19, 2005 (Boca Raton, FL) Accrisoft Corporation, a leading provider of web empowerment software, announced today that the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace has used Accrisoft Freedom™ web empowerment software™ to redesign, launch, and power a fully-featured, interactive website with an updated look and feel. The Nixon Library & Birthplace website provides a content-rich portal into conferences, events, resources, public papers, and archives associated with the 37th President of the United States.

Headquartered in Yorba Linda, California, The Nixon Library & Birthplace opened its doors on July 19, 1990. It is a privately supported, non-profit institution dedicated to educating the public about the life and times of the 37th President of the United States. The Library also focuses on encouraging interest in history, government and public affairs. As one of the most active and widely visited Presidential Centers in the nation, the Nixon Library and the Nixon Center in Washington, D.C. conduct a wide range of public affairs programs ranging from award programs and School Editors Forums to National Policy Conferences and an impressive roster of distinguished speakers.

The Nixon Library website, a key part of this strategy, serves as a substantive online resource that includes upcoming library events, commentary on President Nixon and his Presidency, political interest features, and the popular online Museum Store. The enhanced website, located at www.nixonlibrary.org officially launched August 19th, 2005 as part of a modernization initiative undertaken by the Richard Nixon Library &  Birthplace to create a more readable and consistent online experience for its users. The objectives of the new site were to enhance the site visitor experience with richer capabilities and to improve web productivity for Nixon Library employees.  The new website was a significant project which entailed integrating more than 15,000 files into the Accrisoft Freedom platform in less than a month.

The recently launched site update provides more robust interactivity including broadcast email templates for easy creation of e-newsletters, and integrated e-commerce capabilities, which are used to purchase  gifts from the popular online Museum Store—all with a fresher, more modern look and feel.  According to Nixon Library Marketing Manager and webmaster Anthony Curtis, "Previously we had e-commerce capabilities, but they weren't integrated. Now we have one centralized point of administration for the entire website rather than having to integrate and manage several different applications in order to have e-commerce."

With the website now on the Accrisoft Freedom platform, the Nixon Library & Birthplace website can store reference materials and PDFs of past articles, providing website visitors with immediate online access to important archived articles and papers, which could not be done before. Curtis notes, "The entire online experience is a much more unified, user-friendly online experience for our website visitors and makes it easy to access and use a wealth of historical information."

Meanwhile, advanced workflow capabilities have enabled site administrators to hand the keys to the site to Nixon Library staff members, enabling multiple stakeholders to contribute content, while maintaining unified  editorial content control. Curtis continues, "From a management standpoint we have more control than ever. We're using the Accrisoft Freedom workflow feature to ensure more editorial control with multiple content contributors. This allows us to feature a collection of original news articles and letters authored by Nixon friends and associates."

“It is an honor to have been chosen as the platform to support the new Nixon Library website," states President and CEO of Accrisoft Corporation, Jeff Kline, "this is an important site in terms of public affairs and a compelling window into Richard Nixon's public life and the events, people and world that shaped and were shaped by our 37th president. We are delighted that our software has played an instrumental role in improving the effectiveness with which the Nixon Library can communicate with its constituents."
