March 22, 2004 (Boca Raton, FL) Accrisoft Corporation announces that the Florida Research Consortium (www.floridaresearch.org) opened its doors recently via the web, using Accrisoft Freedom software to spread its message, announce its activities and foster greater communication amongst its board members and affiliated sponsoring universities and institutions.
The Florida Research Consortium (FRC) is a strategic partnership between Florida’s Universities and the business community focused on enhancing progressive research programs at Florida’s public and private universities. As such, the FRC must have a website that is flexible and that allows for the sharing of critical information readily, yet securely. To this end, Accrisoft Corp. delivered its Accrisoft FREEDOM website software which allows for fast and easy content management and updates, while still providing "members only" access to critical and sensitive information via a password-protected portion of the website. In addition, the FRC was very interested in promoting other organizations involved in educational and intellectual exchange for the good of Florida, and chose FREEDOM precisely because the software was so flexible. Within days of launching its new website, the FRC included information of another trade organization, Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF), and even set up on FRC's own site, the ability to take registrations and payments for those planning on attending this event, The Tech Transfer Conference, scheduled for St. Petersburg, FL in May, 2004.
"We are grateful to Accrisoft for helping us put a very competent and useful website together in such a short time," stated Jack Sullivan, Jr., President and CEO of the Florida Research Consortium. " The Florida Research Consortium is organized as a not for profit corporation, and is governed by a volunteer board of top business, university and elected leaders who are responsible for directing a small staff charged with implementing the vision of the board.
