Creating new Freedom user logins

Freedom websites can have an unlimited amount of users in an unlimited amount of groups.

Set up groups to restrict users to specific modules or specific permissions and content within modules. This means that users within a specific group may only have permission to edit and create new content within a specific module, or a category within a module.

For example, if your client has a marketing person, a group called "Marketing" can be created, which can have access to only the Blog, Events, Email Marketing, and Social Modules.

To create groups:

  1. Open the Security Module (in the Blue or Green Interface).
  2. Click the Groups Tab.
  3. Click "Add a New Group" and give the group a name, then save.
  4. Open the Access Level Tab and edit the newly created group.
  5. Select the modules and/or persmissions per module this group should have access to. *Groups must have access to the Home module.

Create Users:

  1. Open the Security Module (in the Blue or Green Interface).
  2. Click add a new user.
  3. Assign a username, password and email address to the new user. The email address will be used if the user forgets their password.
  4. Finally, select the group this member should be associated with. [admin] allows full access to the Blue Interface. [deploy] gives access to the entire site (can only be created from the Green Interface).

To enhance the security of the site, users can be restricted by IP address too.

Restrict users by IP Address:

  1. Open the Security Module (in the Blue or Green Interface).
  2. Click the Restrict by IP tab.
  3. First add a new IP Address via the IP Address subtab.
  4. Then click the users subtab.
  5. Add a new item and select a user and ip address.
