Strings Module Introduction

Apr 26, 2014 7:05 pm

Strings are predefined words or sentences that appear on the live website. An example of a string is the text "Login Failed" that appears when a member tries unsuccessfully to log into MyAccount. Strings like this can be changed in the Green Interface's Strings Module so something else is displayed on the live website.

To edit a string, click on the "Edit" link next to the string you'd like to edit, and then change its text. If you would like to allow Blue administrators to edit strings, click the "Allow Blue Admin to Edit" checkbox. The string will then be available in the Configuration Module in Blue.

The Custom tab is for backwards compatibility with older Freedom sites. To add custom text to your live website, it's recommended that you do so using page or module layouts.
