Cart Abandonment Emails

Is it possible to set up cart abandonment emails for customers leaving the checkout process before completion. My guess is that this would involve some way to connect various modules...commerce, lead nurturing, and email marketing, perhaps? In any case, I'm wondering if anyone has accomplished this within Freedom before.

Another awesome question, thanks Dave!

  • Your best bet currently is to create a really general 'did you find what you are looking for' email in email marketing.
  • Restrict the commerce checkout form to a membership group.
  • As well as add an action from the 'Actions' subtab in Blue -> Forms -> Web Forms -> and the web form that new commerce registrations use, the action should be setup like this only with the lead nurturing response chain of your choice.
  • Then within that lead nurturing response chain you'll want a add a step such as sending an email 1 hour, 6 hours, or 1 day after the new user has registered for commerce account, and this is where you would ask the user if they found what they were looking for or even ask them to complete a survey.
