How can I insert the subscriber's name into my email marketing campaign?
A great way to add a personal touch to your email marketing campaign is to directly address the recipient of the email. I will walk you through the steps required to set up an email marketing campaign which automatically inserts the name and/or email address of the person to whom it is addressed.
Please navigate to your email marketing module, located in the Silver Interface > Email Marketing. Edit an existing campaign or create a new campaign. You will see a section called "HTML Email Content". This section shows you a view of the email template which you have selected for this email marketing campaign. Additionally, you will see a grey button which has an image of a pencil and says "Edit". Click the grey button.
You now will see a wysiwyg editor that you are familiar with from the various modules including web pages. In the top left below the section which says "HTML Body" you will see a dropdown which says "Insert Fields". Click the dropdown and you will see three fields - fname, lname and email. These three fields are specific to the user to whom the email is sent.
Click save at the bottom of this page and you will be taken back to the email marketing campaign creation screen. Fill out any remaining parts of the campaign, scroll to the bottom of the page and click save.
