Adding a new category

To add a new category, which will help organize and group files, take the following steps:

  1. Click on the Add a New Category button.
  2. If you plan to use a display type for the category, select it from the dropdown list. By default, all categories have the Default display type selected when you first add them.
  3. If you plan to use an image with the new category, click the Browse button, select the image you want to use for the category name, then select Open. The path to the image appears in the Upload Image field, and the image is uploaded when you click the Add button. When you upload an image for a category, the image will replace the category name on some screens when a visitor views the items in the category. This means that the image you use for the category should either contain text or some image that adequately describes the category.
  4. Click Add to add the new category to the Document Storage module.
