Files in the File Manager module should be organized in folders, also known as directories. New folders may be easily added under the general directory Clientuploads, or within other folders to create a tiered and organized layout for user files.
To create a new folder:
- Click the new folder icon (a folder with a green + sign at the top of the page).
- Enter a name for the untitled folder. The new folder name will appear in the list of files, and you will be able to upload other files into it by selecting the folder name during the upload process.
The File Manager also allows uploaded files to be moved from folder to folder. After selecting a file, simply drag the item to the desired location. Please take care when moving files from folder to folder; if a file has been linked to previously and is removed from its current location, the hyperlink attached will appear broken and no longer connect to the file. If you wish to move a file that has already been linked, right click on the file and either Copy or Duplicate the file before moving it to a new folder.
