Has any one worked on a realtor site? if so What freedom theme was used/if any? and What kind of solution did you use for the MLS database used by realtors to manage properties since Freedom does not have a module for this?

Thanks!

Accrinet has a website (ggar.com) that uses custom directories and syndication along with some other custom work to produce a website like what you are asking. I let them know about this post and someone who worked on the project will respond ASAP with more details. Unfortunately, this may take a few days due to holiday vacations.

To address your other question, as far as I know the GGAR site was built without a theme. However, we do have the AccriRealty theme within the Template Library which was built with these types of sites in mind.

Accrinet programmed a custom application to import MLS listings into a custom Freedom module. www.ggar.com and www.realestateinberks.com/ are using this application. Both sites were designed and built from scratch. Unfortunately, due to varied client demands and differences between RETS servers, the application must be heavily modified for each site.

The core of the application consists of the open source PHRETS library available at github. This tutorial should help you get started using PHRETS. www.retsmd.com provides a way to discover the structure of the RETS server from which you will retrieve MLS data.

Information you will need to obtain from your client includes login credentials to their RETS server, the exact resource, class, and field names of the data they wish to display on the website, and any filter conditions specifying which listings to display.
