Changing 'A' Records

May 18, 2014 9:36 pm

The A (Host) record is a DNS record that is used to direct a domain name to the IP Address of a server.

To change your record, login to your Domain Name Registrar. From there you can manage each domain and access the zone files, or records, associated with each domain.

When changing records, you can also adjust the TTL. The TTL is the amount of time it will take to make the change. For example if your TTL for your A record is 1 hour, it can take up to 1 hour to reflect that change.
