Published: Thursday, September 24, 2015 | Tags: economic development, web design, website

As the temperature drops and the leaves begin to change, one thing is very clear—fall is finally here! And on the Accrisoft blog, that means it's time for our annual roundup of the 10 best economic development websites of 2015.

We looked through hundreds of sites to make our final selections. While searching for the very best, we noticed several design elements that seemed to be trending among EDO sites.

What's trending on economic development websites in 2015:

  • Bright colors (we're seeing lots of blues, greens, oranges)
  • Use of transparency for captions, navigation and other text containers
  • Huge images with interesting treatments (filters, color overlays, etc.)
  • Animations and micro-interactions
  • Flat design elements
  • Icons with hover effects

You'll notice these trends and other great design elements on this year's list of the 10 best economic development websites. Enjoy, and get inspired!
